Family Archives | 1902-Present

In late 2024, after turning forty, I began reflecting more deeply on memory, identity, & the ways childhood shapes who we become. This reflection led me to begin researching and scanning my maternal family archives as part of an ongoing photographic & archival project.

Through both my parenting & my photography, I find myself paying close attention to the small, often overlooked moments that form a childhood & the ways we attempt to shape something better for the next generation.

Working between the past & the present, these archives & photographs have become a way of tracing how memory, family, & identity quietly unfold across generations.
