ABOUT
I began my photography career apprenticing with an award-winning studio in New York City where I honed my skills shooting over 50 luxury weddings from The Plaza to The Pierre. By 2012, Kate Neal Photography was born & my husband, John, joined me in capturing the beauty of weddings. Our shared commitment to a team mindset has been central to our journey. We continue to pride ourselves on our level of excellence & connection-first approach. By creating a unique & personalized experience, we focus on building genuine relationships so that there is a foundation of trust that allows us to capture the most authentic moments. We photograph to preserve — to give people tangible evidence that beauty existed in their everyday, even if they didn’t notice it at the time.
Today, we’re grateful to call the Philadelphia suburbs home, where we live with our two daughters, Rowan & Sloane, along with two dogs, a cat, ten chickens, & our buzzing bees - each day filled with love, laughter, & a bit of chaos.
EXPERIENCE
I take on a limited number of commissions each year to ensure every couple I work with gets my full attention, energy, & creativity. Your story deserves more than a rushed experience, & by keeping my calendar intentionally small, I’m able to offer a more personalized, thoughtful approach.
For engagement sessions & wedding days, I always photograph alongside my husband, who is my permanent second shooter. After 18 years of marriage & 15 years of working together, we’ve developed a natural rhythm that allows us to move through the day seamlessly - quietly capturing every angle, every emotion, & every in-between moment without missing a beat. Together, we bring a calm, steady presence so you can relax, enjoy, & trust that your day is being beautifully documented from start to finish.
PHILOSOPHY
Let’s wander off the usual path. There’s a rare luxury in privacy, in choosing to live life rather than share it. More & more, the people who reach out to me crave that. Less noise, more meaning; fewer pictures for others, more memories for themselves. Images that feel like your story, privately cherished.
